Our Theme

"Startups and Innovation"

Risk more than others think is safe. Dream more than others think is practical.

Howard Schultz, Starbucks CEO

I knew that if I failed I wouldn’t regret that, but I knew the one thing I might regret is not trying.

Jeff Bezos Amazon Founder and CEO

In the last few years, the Start-up Ecosystem in India has grown by leaps and bounds. It has been driven by factors such as massive funding, evolving Technology and an exploding Domestic Market. From a mere 3,100 Start-ups in 2014, it is expected to grow beyond 11,500 by 2020, which is not a passing trend by any means. Start-ups are either creating an entirely new market or penetrating gaps in existing markets or product lines. A lot of Start-ups follow the path of Disruptive Innovation and are revolutionizing how businesses operate today in India. We, the students of DoMS IIT Madras recognize this uprising and hence instigate “Start-ups and Innovation” as the theme of Samanvay 2015, our Annual B-School fest. Business School students from all over the country are invited to prove their mettle and announce themselves as the future leaders of India.
